The girls’ football tournament in Esbjerg got off to a fantastic start with a 5 o’clock wake-up call and a four-hour bus ride to defend our 3rd place title from the previous year. It was a great day of team spirit and fair play, with one team even helping up an opponent they tackled, while the rest of the opposing players charged down our goal, much to the dismay of our coaches on the sidelines. But that’s the spirit that encompasses our girls’ teams! Well done to the U16 team, who were robbed of a chance to play in the final due to goal difference, and the U14 team, who came in 3rd. Next year, we’ll come back stronger than ever. Thank you, girls, for a wonderful day filled with great spirit.
