8i were lucky to have the opportunity to go and see a dramatic performance of Charles Dickens Christmas classic, A Christmas Carol. The novella was adapted for the stage by Arted.Net: Education through Theatre and Art and the performance took place in the Black Diamond library in Copenhagen. Students learnt about the historical and social context within which the novella is set in preparation for the viewing. Students in 8i also read an extract of the script in class which helped with understanding of the performance. The actors from Arted brought Dickens’ Christmas story to life with exceptionally effective performances and helped us all to get into the Christmas mood!
